Formotus mobile application services let you deploy forms created on your desktop to the mobile devices carried by your people. The data entered into those forms is then transmitted over-the-air from their phones straight to your SharePoint site or other backend systems.

Deployment Process Add Mobile Users to your account, identified by email address. Add a Formotus application by uploading an InfoPath form, publishing it as a Formotus application, and deploying it to mobile users. Note: You can practice by deploying these sample forms which are also used for the form design tutorial. Once your Formotus applications are deployed, they are available for your Mobile Users to install and use. Each Formotus application will appear as a different form available in the My Forms screen of their Formotus Forms program. Mobile User Process Prepare the device by installing the necessary software to support Formotus forms. Install a Formotus application, which appears as a new form on the mobile device. Submit a form to the forms Outbox, then submit all the forms in the Outbox straight to your company's SharePoint site or other backend systems. Form Design Guidelines  If you are not familiar with InfoPath, here are some helpful references to introduce you to the product. InfoPath, a part of Microsoft Office, is used to design online forms that contain controls such as text fields, checkboxes, drop-down lists, and so on. You will use Microsoft InfoPath 2007 (preferred) or 2003 to design the forms that will become your Formotus applications. A good place to start is with the form design tutorial, which demonstrates how to build forms that will work well on mobile devices.  When you are ready to start designing your own forms, it is best to begin with one of our sample business applications. It is not a good idea to start with other existing InfoPath forms, such as the Microsoft samples, because of possibile incompatibilities. To build good business applications it's important to understand the supported features in InfoPath and to follow the best practices for creating Formotus applications.
